2017 Regional Community Investments
Andeavor in Action. Take a look at some examples we’re particularly proud of:
Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum — Reaction Time & Chain Reaction Programs
These programs reach more than 47,000 fifth graders per year and bring the science of chemistry into their classrooms. Students gain understanding of concepts and apply their knowledge with hands-on experiments.
Utah Safety Council — Alive at 25
To increase driver accountability, this intervention program taught by law enforcement officers promotes a greater sense of responsibility for driving by focusing on behavior, judgment and decision making in young drivers ages 15–24.
Breathe Utah — K–12 Air Aware Environmental Education Program
This three-year program grant gives youth an understanding of the delicate air conditions of the mountain valleys of Northern Utah and offers tips on what students can do to become more environmentally aware.
Eye Care for Kids Foundation — Mobile Eye Care Clinic
Early detection and treatment of eye problems in children is important for their well-being. This investment helped purchase vision screening and exam equipment for the mobile clinic that travels across the Salt Lake City area.
